Milk mo'

When Dada has a cappucino in the morning, Oskar likes to have a cup of "bubble milk" - this is the typical result!

Monkeying Around

Just playing some mucick (music) on Mama's iPhone and dancing around like a monkey, in between sessions with a fever this weekend. Perfectly happy for four hours, then the ibuprofen wears off. What a kid.

South Beach, Point Reyes

We took the Memorial Day long weekend recently and spent a few nights up on the Point Reyes peninsula about 90 minutes north of San Francisco, with our friends Amabel, Reinhard, and their little boy Yannick.

Side-note: whilst it's perfectly connected to everything else up there, the Pt. Reyes peninsula actually originated outside Los Angeles about 30 million years ago and was transported north by the San Andreas fault. It's composed of different rock, and the whole thing is still moving up the coast over an inch per year.

Anyway. Beach. Water! One of Oskar's favourite ever things :)

Time out

Why am I here? What did I do?

Oskar's little milestone today at daycare was learning that time out is a serious thing and that it causes an otherwise happy baby to ponder what just happened....

So pensive.

Birthday Party!

We held a small birthday bash for Oskar's 2nd today...originally slated for a nearby park, we moved it back in our apartment due the weather. Nonetheless, everyone had a great time, little boys and girls were all exhausted after 2 hours, and some fun presents were unwrapped. :D

Turning Two

Happy Birthday! Oskar turned two on May 3rd... he's right into choo-choo trains as we saw in the last post, so... that means... Thomas!

It also means a sweet dinosaur puzzle from Grandpa and Grandma. There's also other cool stuff we'll save for another post :)

Choo Choo!

Oskar's reached that fantastic stage in every little boys life where he's fallen deeply in awe-filled love with "choo choo" trains. So on fine Sunday mornings we like to wander down to the nearby crossing and wave at a couple of Caltrain “screaming thunder boxes” as they pass by, all clanging and tooting horns and rumbling wheels. Then at night before bed, we watch an episode of Thomas and Friends together. Boys' dream.
