Yes, it’s been too long. Here’s the Things digging gemstones out of their dig kits in early 2020
Time to move on from the DSLR and into much smaller mirrorless (Sony α6000 in case anyone's wondering). And more photos as a result!
Playing with trains... hear a "garbage truck!" outside... push a chair to the door and unlock the screen, even with the rubber bands we applied to the hook... go outside in order to "go see!!!"Â
Yes. The boy loves garbage trucks to death right now. :D
Things are getting back to normal here in SF, since returning after the last month's ups and downs. Last week Oskar and Daddy went to a local sushi place to pick up dinner. Whilst we were waiting, we entertained ourselves with a toast to Grandpa (well I did, anyway) and some edamame – the first time Oskar's shelled and extracted the beans for himself successfully  :-0Â
Our favorite new park nearby is a central island of grass, trees and largely un-accosted playground equipment (still awesome and not all low to the ground or rubberized) nestled in what was once the city's most upmarket address – South Park.Â
Oskar has discovered the joy of monkeying up something and riding the big slide back down again. These photo + video taken over two weekends... things are getting back to normal here. :)
Climb up! (the platform is about 7' high)
Ride down, go again!
Why am I here? What did I do?
Oskar's little milestone today at daycare was learning that time out is a serious thing and that it causes an otherwise happy baby to ponder what just happened....
So pensive.
There's a lot of boys in the Wade family. Why stop now?
We had a great 19/20 week scan this morning, all is looking quite normal, and we find that little number 2 is a brother Wade for Oskar!
Oskar's reached that fantastic stage in every little boys life where he's fallen deeply in awe-filled love with "choo choo" trains. So on fine Sunday mornings we like to wander down to the nearby crossing and wave at a couple of Caltrain “screaming thunder boxes” as they pass by, all clanging and tooting horns and rumbling wheels. Then at night before bed, we watch an episode of Thomas and Friends together. Boys' dream.Â
