Like a blender with no lid

I read somewhere recently a quote from some random saying that living with a toddler is like living with a running blender with no lid. Pretty apt. I'd only add that a tiny drunk person regularly adds food to the lidless blender and occasionally something you really like, such as an iPhone.

Here's Oskar eating snacks that he'd tipped into Jasmine's bed :D

Tummy time!

Well life goes on here... sadness or not. Finlay continues to grow and eat like a machine and grow some more... tummy time yesterday resulted in some true “what? me? attitude!” shots. Here's some of the best ones.

Hey.

Life is great!

Exploring the ExplOratorium #2

It was VERY busy

There's a sign that says "ExplOratorium" to the left of this photo. Mommy liked the pink and orange woman more, though.

We had meatball subs from Prather's American Eatery on the way home. They have vibrating "food ready" boxes!

And we saw a straight-up pirate ship under the Bay Bridge on the way home too, right alongside a modern cruiser

Exploring the ExplOratorium #1

Today was a long-weekend Monday, President's Day. So we did what every other family did today and head to a destination – using Grandma's wonderful Xmas present of Member passes we went to the new Exploratorium!

We took a tram, which is very exciting for boys

Being lucky enough to be Members we skipped the long lines and quickly saw a cool gargbage sweep clock installation by a Dutch artist

Garbage Sweep Clock

The spring you could see in 3D right in front of you, but not touch – because it wasn't there – very interesting

Rain Dance

It finally started raining in San Francisco, after breaking all records in 2013 (driest winter, driest year, warmest winter – you name it – where's your global warming now tree huggers? California, that's where).

So we went outside today and jumped in puddles. We found one puddle that's basically a small lake!

Sunset Hilltop Playground

We went to a friend's birthday party recently, and it started in a nearby hilltop playground with a warm orange sunset and amazing views (sorry, forgot to photo that part) streaming in through the trees. Oskar re-discovered his early love of the swing...
